Office Cleaning in Mayfair, Discreet and Detail-Led
Mayfair offices are judged on presentation. A boardroom in a converted townhouse off Berkeley Square, a family office on Mount Street or a gallery on Cork Street is seen by clients at their most attentive, so the cleaning has to be thorough, quiet and careful with the building itself.
Citywide Cleaning Company provides managed office cleaning across W1J, W1K and W1S from our London base at Old Street. Every Mayfair contract starts with a site survey and a written cleaning specification, and is run by a named account contact. It forms part of our wider office cleaning London service, so cover, supervision and reporting work the same way across every site you hold.
- Written specification agreed before the first clean, room by room
- DBS-checked operatives available where the site or client requires them
- Care for period finishes, with methods agreed for stone, timber, brass and specialist surfaces
- Planned absence cover, so a sick day does not become a missed clean
- GPS attendance monitoring through our Service Assurance system
Why Mayfair Buildings Need a Different Cleaning Approach
Much of Mayfair’s office space sits in Georgian and Victorian buildings that were never designed as offices, many of them listed. That changes how a cleaning team has to work.
Period interiors
Marble fireplaces, original joinery, polished timber floors and decorative plaster need the right product and method. We agree these in the specification rather than leaving them to the cleaner on the night.
Narrow access and stairs
Townhouse offices often mean several small floors, narrow staircases and no service lift. Equipment, storage and the order of work are planned around that, so the clean finishes inside the agreed window.
Confidential environments
Investment firms, family offices and private client practices expect discretion. Cleaners are briefed on restricted rooms, clear-desk expectations and what must never be moved.

Case Study: Private Members’ Club, Mayfair
- Premises
- Restaurant, bar, library and private dining rooms in a Mayfair members’ club.
- The problem
- Dust on the library shelves, smeared glassware at the bar and washrooms that lost their standard late in the evening. Cleanliness had become a recurring item at committee meetings.
- What we did
- Wrote a detail-focused specification, added glassware polishing to the bar routine, moved housekeeping into service hours rather than only after close, and set two-hourly washroom checks on busy evenings. The General Manager was given direct access to the on-site supervisor.
- The outcome
- Member complaints about cleanliness fell to zero.

How Much Cleaning Does a Mayfair Office Need?
Hours are set at the site survey, but these are the starting points we use for London offices:
| Office profile | Typical schedule |
|---|---|
| Up to about 50 staff, Monday to Friday | Daily weekday cleaning, around 10 hours a week (2 hours a visit) |
| Medium office, 100 to 150 staff or workstations | 2 cleaners, 3 hours a visit |
| Lower occupancy or hybrid | Fewer, longer visits, still at least 10 hours a week |
London contracts start at a minimum of 2 hours per visit and 10 hours per week. Use the calculator on our London office cleaning page for an indicative monthly cost.
Mayfair Office Cleaning: Frequently Asked Questions
Can you clean listed or period buildings?
Yes. We survey the finishes first and agree products and methods for stone, timber and other sensitive surfaces in the written specification. Anything that needs specialist restoration is identified and quoted separately.
Can cleaning happen before the office opens?
Yes. Early-morning, evening and selected weekend cleaning can be arranged, subject to building access. We agree keys, alarm codes and the cleaning window before the start date.
Do you provide the same cleaner each visit?
We aim to keep the same cleaner on your site so they learn the building and its priorities. When they are absent, a briefed cover cleaner attends instead.
Do you cover galleries and showrooms as well as offices?
Yes. Display areas, glass and floors can be included in the same specification as back-office space, with timings agreed around opening hours.
Do you pay the London Living Wage?
London contracts can be priced to support the current London Living Wage, which is £15.45 an hour for 2026/27, where it forms part of the agreed staffing model.
